NEWS: The Padres acquired 2B Luis Arraez from the Marlins in exchange for RHP Woo Suk Go, OF Jakob Marsee, 1B Nathan Martorella and OF Dillon Head.
IMPACT: High 
BHQ SPIN: The Padres offense, which is already near the top of the league in BA (.250), OBP (.320) and R (163) will benefit from the addition of Arraez, who hit .354/.393/.469 and won the National League batting title in 2023. Arraez isn’t off to quite as good of a start this season (.299/.347/.372), but is one of the league’s top hitters and will provide needed depth and consistency to the Padres lineup.
