NEWS: Baltimore placed RHP Ryan Helsley on the 15-Day IL due to right elbow inflammation.

BHQ SPIN: The 2026 season’s “closer chaos” theme continued on Friday, as Helsley hit the IL due to elbow inflammation. It's unclear how Baltimore will replace Helsley in the ninth inning, but the team has several viable options, which could lead to a committee approach. Anthony Nunez, who recorded the save on April 22 while Helsley was on family medical emergency leave, should figure prominently in the late innings and is a candidate for saves.
