NEWS: RHP Cade Horton left Friday’s start due to right forearm discomfort and is expected to be placed on the 15-Day IL.

BHQ SPIN: In the second inning of Horton’s start on Friday, the right-hander motioned to the dugout and then was removed from the game. Following Horton’s departure, the team stated that he exited the game due to right forearm discomfort. Expect further updates on Horton’s return timeline as he undergoes additional testing in the coming days. There should be more clarity on Chicago’s plans to replace Horton in the team’s rotation in the next few days.
