Happ returns for Chicago

NATIONAL LEAGUE

Chicago Cubs
NEWS: Chicago reinstated LF Ian Happ from the 10-Day IL and optioned C/DH Moisés Ballesteros to AAA-Iowa.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: After a short IL stint due to an oblique strain, Happ returned to the top of Chicago’s lineup on Tuesday and we’ve restored his projected playing time to its pre-injury levels. Happ will return to a regular role in left field, moving Seiya Suzuki back to designated hitter after he had been filling in for Happ in left field. Ballesteros, who was receiving the majority of the team’s designated hitter at-bats while Suzuki was covering for Happ in the outfield, will return to AAA after filling in during Happ’s absence.
