After a career 20-HR season in 2022, France followed up with 12 and 13 HR in the next two, and his BA fell also, all the way to .234 in 2024. The 30-year-old had a heel injury last June that optimists would cite as the reason for his .236/.284/.358 second half slashline. With France given the nod at 1B, that moves Jose Miranda and Edouard Julien to bench roles.
