Crews to start season in minors

NEWS: Washington optioned outfielder Dylan Crews to Triple-A Rochester.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: Crews, the second overall pick in the 2023 draft, rose quickly through the minors reaching Washington in 2024. In 2025, he missed nearly three months with an oblique strain but still managed to hit 10 homers and steal 17 bases, albeit while hitting .208 (xBA of .235). This spring Crews’ performance has been abysmal: .105 BA and .295 OPS. The Nationals’ plan is that the 24-year old will work things through without the pressure of playing in the majors.
