NEWS: Jimmy Crooks sees PT gain behind the plate; Yohel Pozo reinstated from IL-7.

BHQ SPIN: It appears the club wants to see what they’ve got with Crooks (+20%), as he’s started four of the last six games at catcher, while Pedro Pagés (-15%) has only seen two. Pozo (+5%) skipped his rehab assignment (concussion), so it remains to be seen how long the Cardinals will choose to carry three backstops. Willson Contreras is currently halfway through a four-game suspension - Pozo could fill in there temporarily - but Contreras’, Alec Burleson’s, and Brendan Donovan’s returns all appear to be imminent.
