Bassitt injury remakes Jays rotation

NEWS: Toronto has placed RHP Chris Bassitt on the 15-day IL with lower back inflammation; LHP Mason Fluharty has been recalled from AAA-Buffalo in a corresponding move.

BHQ SPIN: This is not the news the Blue Jays wanted on the evening in which they punched their ticket to the post season. The good news is Bassitt should be eligible to return in time for the ALDS if his injury progresses as expected. The rotation spot will be occupied by rookie RHP Trey Yesavage who has made two starts since being called to the majors. Before news of this injury, there was word that José Berríos would be moving to the bullpen to make room for Yesavage, but with Bassitt exiting the rotation this plan will...
