NEWS: The A’s placed third baseman Gio Urshela on the 10-day IL with a left hamstring strain, optioned outfielder JJ Bleday and catcher Jhonny Pereda to Triple-A, designated outfielder Seth Brown for assignment, recalled outfielder Denzel Clarke and third baseman CJ Alexander from Triple-A, and selected the contracts of infielder Logan Davidson and catcher Willie MacIver.
