Part 1 of this Santana Plan series provided some necessary background about the Santana Plan and discussed the Santana Plan anchors entering the 2021 season. Today, we’ll consider several other starting pitchers.

This article attempts to apply the same Santana Plan concepts—ideally looking for skills and durability over a two-year period, recognizing that today’s pitchers will fall short of our ideals to some extent—but necessarily is more subjective than the article on Santana Plan anchors. We’ll start with the guys who are being drafted high but are not Santana Plan anchors. Then we’ll look for players that the market may be undervaluing or overvaluing.
