The great thing about victory laps is that by the time they’re actually ripe for the taking—just about the time you’re ready to bask in the glory and gracefully thank your competitors for a battle well-fought—most of your leaguemates have quietly moved on, either setting fantasy football rosters or catching up on household chores or, for many in this particular league, getting an early jump on 2020 Baseball Forecaster pages.
