STARTERS: Week one observations, 2015

It's easy to panic after your SP has a terrible start or two during the first week of the season. It can also be tempting to fall in love with a pitcher who gives you good stats.

A better approach is to look at the skills underneath these extreme performances before making hasty roster decisions.

Keeping in mind that we're dealing with the tiniest of data samples, let's take a look at some noteworthy first-week performances by SP.

AMERICAN LEAGUE

Trevor Bauer (RHP, CLE) posted six scoreless innings in his first start along with 11 K. Problem is, his previous control problems haven't gone away. He had 5 BB in those 6 IP due in large part to a low 52% FpK%. While his stuff is top-shelf and his upside remains very high, he won't sustain...
