Our last column of the season with a 2022 focus takes a look at starting pitchers whose skills have surged since July 1.

AMERICAN LEAGUE

Reid Detmers (LHP, LAA) has shown some nice growth during his age-22 season. He has a sub-3.00 ERA in the second half in spite of an elevated 35% H%. His skills have gone from poor in the first half (49 BPV) to good in the second half (118 BPV) behind a 13.1% SwK%, a mark that ranks in the top 30 among starters in the second half.
