STARTERS: Early-season extreme performances

Two weeks of data is far too small a sample size on which to make roster decisions. But now is still a worthwhile time to take a look at extreme early-season performances to see if they can be validated or dismissed by a pitcher's skills.

With a focus on early buying opportunities, here are several SP in each league who have posted noteworthy performances over the season's first two weeks.

AMERICAN LEAGUE

Trevor Bauer (RHP, CLE) has flashed his ace upside after two starts (14.3 Dom, 14% SwK%), but his control remains a big issue (6.8 Ctl, 57% FpK%). He will need to pound the strike zone at a higher level in order to sustain his quick start.
