Early 2025 targets

Our last SP Buyers Guide column of the regular season will point you towards early 2025 targets.

Here are 25 starting pitchers that have a good shot at providing profit in 2025, including some prospects who could make a positive impact in 2025.
 

AMERICAN LEAGUE

Shane Baz (RHP, TAM) has been brought along carefully in his first season back from Tommy John surgery. His skills have not been good since he has returned (55 BPV in 49 IP), but his stuff has been solid (11.0% SwK%) and most of his velocity has returned (95.9 mph). His arm strength should fully be back in 2025, and his shaky post-TJ surgery control stands a good shot to improve another season away from going under the knife.

Brayan Bello (RHP, BOS) has stuff that has ticked forward...
