Trading relievers

This week looks at the relative value between year-to-date numbers and projected balance of the year numbers. This is oversimplified, but you should be thinking about trading relievers who are outperforming their projections to grab some marginal value, and you should be thinking about trading for relievers who are underperforming their projections--again to grab some marginal value. This requires belief in the projections over recency bias in a volatile season, but the year-to-date for relievers is small and you should probe your league mates to see what they are willing to do.

We start with four prominent relievers where you might try to make an offer:

This is the annual sleepers column, but let's be honest: There are no sleepers. There are relievers with great skills who are cheaper than they should be ... and that's what you want anyway.
