RELIEVERS: Things to consider in December

The winter meetings may have just concluded, but there are still a ton of free agents, including a ton of relievers, who will certainly have an impact on the teams reviewed in this column. There will also continue to be trades made that will reshape bullpens. So why even write a column in December? Because one thing we can talk about is some of the moves teams have made and how it impacts the roster.

We start in Colorado where the Rockies bought both Chad Qualls (RHP, COL) and Jason Motte (RHP, COL), two right-handers with some closing experience, to supplement the current group:

This is the annual sleepers column, but let's be honest: There are no sleepers. There are relievers with great skills who are cheaper than they should be ... and that's what you want anyway.
