BATTING: Players being added

With just three or four games in the books for 2012, fantasy owners everywhere are already jockeying for position, adding and dropping batters like—well, like they knew what they were doing.

There’s nothing wrong with making moves early, especially to move batters unexpectedly—and sustainably—getting or losing PT. But overreacting to an unusually good or poor start, or to manager pronouncements about role changes, is often the first step on the stairway to the basement.

That said, let’s look at the most added batters after the first full weekend of play, as compiled from shallow mixed public leagues at several different online sites. We focused on batters who were not already widely owned and still aren't.
