BATTERS: Early season turnover, pt. 2—The Drops

Baseball is back in full swing and the rosters they are a-changin'. Last week's column covered the skills of some prominent player adds taking place across the most popular fantasy sites. While those players are coming on board, this week's article takes a closer look at the hitters being jettisoned in favor of those pick-ups all over the fantasy landscape.

It's worth mentioning that decisions made as a result of player performance to date in 2013 are rash at best and based on an incomplete sample. Most critical batting statistics do not stabilize until 100 PAs or more in many cases so ditching players based on a rough couple of weeks is bad practice even if ultimately the results justify the move. Skills and track record should trump...
