PT TOMORROW: Paddack's forgettable August

Fantasy GMs with Chris Paddack (RHP, SD) on their roster are begging for the calendar to turn at this point. After two promising turns in July (1.61 ERA, 148 BPV), August has been a disaster, punctuated by two 6-run starts in his last three efforts. What gives? The short answer is: not much. So far this season the young righty has a tick more velocity, is generating more GB, and still owns a near-elite 4.9 Cmd. He's giving up a lot more HR, seen a decrease in FpK, and is just a bit below his career SwK mark. Whether the rumblings of Paddack tipping his pitches or inconsistent FB location are true or not, his 5+ ERA may earn him a skip in the rotation.
