There haven't been many bright spots in San Diego this season, but Fernando Rodney (RHP, SD) has shined as the team's closer. Rodney has given up just one earned run through his first 26 innings of work, and while luck has certainly played a role (96% S%!), Rodney's underlying skills—highlighted by a 59% GB% and 9.8 Dom—have been closer-worthy. Rodney is safe as can be as SD's closer, but with the club 15 games out of first place, can they afford to hold on to Rodney through the trade deadline?

SD's bullpen has been collectively poor this season with a 4.52 team ERA—a mark that includes Rodney's incredible run. But there are a few names to monitor should SD entertain offers for Rodney.
