Uber-prospect Joc Pederson (OF, LA) made some waves earlier this week as the starting CF in place of Yasiel Puig (OF, LA), who has struggled mightily in August (.216 BA, 0 HR, -19 BPV in 97 AB). While Pederson's spot ahead Puig is unlikely to last long, manager Don Mattingly's reference to Pederson as "our best defensive center fielder" could hint at future playing time the rest of this season. Pederson is fresh off a 33 HR / 30 SB performance at AAA-Albuquerque, which netted him MVP honors in the Pacific Coast League this season. Pederson was given a 9D prospect rating in this week's call-up report. His potential with the bat paired with excellent defense could result in Pederson making his way into LA's...
