COL is playing .500 ball and have come out of the All-Star break strongly. Unfortunately, bad news hit on Tuesday when Rookie of the Year candidate Trevor Story (SS, COL) went down with a torn thumb ligament. While we said Daniel Descalso (SS, COL) could see increased PT in the OF a couple of weeks ago, Story's injury opens the door for him to have a full-time SS role moving forward. While Descalso (72 PX) cannot reproduce Story's power, he does get on base at an elite clip (16% bb%), makes OK contact (76% ct%), and has a bit of speed (104 Spd). Given his multi-position eligibility, he could provide some sneaky utility-type value down the stretch.
