PT TOMORROW: NL West—Can Dahl find room in a crowded COL outfield?

Out since late May with a broken foot, David Dahl (OF, COL) continues his recovery at Triple-A and looks to be on track for a return to the majors in the next week or two. Dahl owns an exciting power/speed skill set, and prior to the injury was hitting .275 (.243 xBA) with 4 HR and 2 SB at the big-league level. Though his ceiling is high, it’s worth remembering that Dahl wasn’t exactly logging full-time ABs prior to suffering the injury, as he’d logged just 23 AB in April and 68 AB in May. 

Dahl may initially face a similar challenge when he returns, as fellow lefties Carlos Gonzalez (OF, COL) and Gerardo Parra (OF, COL) have performed fairly well while holding down the corner outfield spots in his absence. Gonzalez in...
