PT TOMORROW: NL West—ARI adds another 1B to the mix

With over a week since the activation of Jake Lamb (3B, ARI) from the IL, we now have a handful of games to assess how manager Torey Lovullo intends to spread around playing time at the corner infield spots. Lamb, a third baseman during the first few years of his career, was the Diamondbacks’ Opening Day 1B after missing most of 2018 with a shoulder injury. Right before hitting the IL again this year (with a quadriceps injury), the team was starting to work Lamb back into the 3B mix to make room for righty Christian Walker (1B, ARI), whose bat at the time was too hot to keep on the bench—or at least too hot to limit to just LHP.

Since his return on June 26, Lamb has been in the lineup against all five right-handed...
