PT TOMORROW: NL West—Ahmed making gains

While Arizona's playing time situation at the hot corner has been well documented in this space, there are also some shifts of note happening up the middle. Nick Ahmed (SS, ARI) is reportedly making strides towards the starting SS job late in camp. Ahmed is known more as a glove-first player, which does little help for fantasy players, though his hot spring (17 for 54, two steals) has impressed the staff. Ahmed has little power, but there's some SB upside if he can get some freedom on the basepaths. His current 2015 projection consists of a .241 BA, 68 PX, and 122 Spd, which makes him late NL-only material if he wins the job.
