While there haven't been any changes to SF's closer pecking order this spring, manager Bruce Bochy recently mentioned that Sergio Romo (RHP, SF) could see situational save opportunities in place of current closer Santiago Casilla (RHP, SF). Bochy confirmed that Casilla is safe in the role, and barring injury, odds are decent that Casilla will stay there—he hasn't posted a 3.00+ ERA since 2009.

Romo, who racked up 38 saves for the club in 2013, was removed from the closer role in 2014 in favor of Casilla and hasn't been able to regain the gig since. Romo enjoyed a renaissance season as the team's setup man with a 2.98 ERA and 1.06 WHIP over 57 innings—and a 1.95 ERA in the second half. Romo posted some of the best...
