Ezequiel Tovar (SS, COL) was among the prospects that saw a meteoric rise in 2022, and that culminated with a 35-plate appearance cameo in Colorado to close the season. Despite that aggressive promotion, it seemed too good to be true that the 21-year-old would be handed the reins to the starting shortstop role for the big-league club in 2023.
