With Jose Fernandez (RHP, MIA) out for the season with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow, the team has a few potential options to replace him. Kevin Slowey (RHP, MIA) and Brad Hand (LHP, MIA) can be moved from the bullpen to the starting rotation or they could possibly turn to one of their top pitching prospects, namely Andrew Heaney (LHP, MIA) or Anthony DeSclafani (RHP, MIA). Brian Flynn (LHP, MIA) may be in the mix as well.

DeSclafini, who is ranked at the team’s 6th best prospect by BaseballHQ.com, has a 4.19 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, 8.0 Dom and 2.1 Ctl in 43 IP with Double-A Jacksonville....
