As of this writing, the Phillies’ record stands at 50-46, placing them 3rd in the NL East and giving them a 45.8% chance of making the playoffs according to Fangraphs. Alec Bohm (3B, PHI) has helped keep the team relevant through July, after suffering through a very slow May and June swoon.

Bohm has come a long way since he hit rock bottom, at least emotionally, after his three-error game against the Mets on April 12, leading to the infamous “I f-ing hate this place” comment that ignited a firestorm in Philly. Bold words to a fanbase that would consider throwing snowballs at Santa an act of laudable restraint—in that the jolly old fat man was spared a shower of hurtling batteries (okay, that was Eagles fans, but...
