We touched last week on how poorly the team ranks in various offensive categories, but it can really be summed up in one stat. Through 44 games this season, the Braves have been held to two runs or fewer 19 times, including being shutout five times and limited to just one run on nine different occasions.

Aside from second base, the position that needs a serious jolt is center field. To say that B.J. Upton (OF, ATL) has had a tough time at the plate since signing a five-year, $75 million contract with the Braves back in November 2012, would be an epic understatement. After hitting .184/.268/.269 with 9 HR, 26 RBI, 12 SB, 61% ct% and 34% K% in 446 PA a year ago, he has put together a .201/.281/.322 with 3 HR, 9 RBI, 7 SB,...
