PT TOMORROW: NL East— Will Taylor be primary LF for Nats?

With Jayson Werth (OF, WAS) expected to be out until August with two fractures in his left wrist, the Nationals will be forced to lean heavily on the likes of Michael Taylor (OF, WAS), Tyler Moore (1B/OF, WAS) and Clint Robinson (1B/OF, WAS). We discussed this situation last week, but that was before Werth’s latest diagnosis. Now that he’s going to miss an extended amount of time, the mindset on how to replace him may have changed.

It would seem to make sense to make Taylor the primary left fielder in Werth’s absence. The 24-year-old has the most potential of the trio and with Denard Span (OF, WAS) eligible for free agency at season’s end, it would behoove the Nationals to give Taylor a significant amount of playing...
