After a busy offseason that saw NYM and PHI improve markedly—with a possible Bryce Harper (OF, FA) signing still pending—to level the playing field with WAS and division champ ATL, the National League East has gone from NL Easy to NL Beast. The only member left on the outside looking in is the Miami Marlins.

As recently as 2017, the Marlins boasted a star-studded starting outfield of Giancarlo Stanton (OF, NYY), Marcell Ozuna (OF, STL), and 2018 NL MVP Christian Yelich (OF, MIL). They were liquidated in yet another of a long line of Marlins fire sales. In their wake, manager Don Mattingly cobbled together the trio of Lewis Brinson (OF, MIA), Brian Anderson (OF/3B, MIA), and Derek Dietrich (OF, MIA). With Dietrich gone and...
