The starting rotation has been quite a mess recently, particularly Mike Leake (RHP, STL), Jaime García (LHP, STL) and Adam Wainwright (RHP, STL) who have combined for a 6.51 ERA in 94 innings over the past five weeks. All should be expected to turn things around at some point, but with the team in the thick of a Wild-Card race, there's not much time to wait around for it to happen. If management feels a change is necessary, there are a couple of logical options who could soon step in.
Alex Reyes (RHP, STL) had a 4.96 ERA and 4.4 Ctl in 14 Triple-A starts, but posted a 12.8 Dom, and has been very impressive since making his debut earlier this month. In five appearances, he's hurled 9 1/3 scoreless innings, racking...
