Despite losing his starting job in 2018, Eric Thames (1B/OF, MIL) improved both his PX and xPX. Entering the 2019 season, he has no clear path to playing time with Jesús Aguilar (1B, MIL) manning first base and a star-studded outfield of Christain Yelich (OF, MIL), Lorenzo Cain (OF, MIL), and Ryan Braun (OF, MIL). However, the Brewers have found creative ways to fit their best bats into the lineup regularly, and Thames fits that description.

The NL Central features rotations full of right-handed pitchers. Of the 20 potential opposing starting pitchers the Brewers will face within the division, 17 project to be right-handed.  Of that sample, six allowed a slugging percentage of over .450 to opposing left-handed...
