The return of Homer Bailey (RHP, CIN) to the Reds rotation in July has briefly transformed the club’s starting staff into a 6-man rotation, though that isn’t expected to last long. Matt Harvey (RHP, CIN) should be on the move by the Trade Deadline, as he’ll be a free agent after the season and has been decent since joining Cincinnati in mid-May. Harvey has a 3.50 ERA and 2.4 Cmd in 13 starts as a Red.

Bailey pitched great in his return from the DL on July 24, notching his second PQS-DOM start of the season against the Cardinals. However this start was uncharacteristic of Bailey’s recent work. He has a 10%/65% DOM/DIS split over 31 starts between 2017 and 2018. Demoted to the bullpen in late May, he never made a relief...
