PT TOMORROW: NL Central—Peraza stakes claim to full-time role

José Peraza (2B/OF, CIN) is taking full advantage of his late season opportunity, as he's 30 for 62 since being recalled August 20. Incredibly, he's collected multiple hits in 10 of his 14 starts in that span, bringing his season line up to .347/.376/.427 with 14 steals in 150 at-bats. With a .080 ISO and three percent walk rate, Peraza obviously doesn't offer much in the way of power or patience. But the combination of his versatility and hot hitting should ensure pretty consistent playing time the rest of this season, and he's certainly put himself into the conversation for a regular role in 2017.
