PT TOMORROW: NL Central—Peralta an option at third base?

Jhonny Peralta (SS, STL) took batting practice on the field prior to the team's May 18 game, and was scheduled to start his rehab assignment May 20. It's been reported that in addition to shortstop, he'll also play some third base, a position where he's made 203 career starts, though none since 2010. 

Since signing a four-year deal prior to the 2014 season, the possibility of Peralta playing an infield corner or left field before the deal expires had been discussed, and the emergence of Aledmys Díaz (SS, STL) appears to have sped up the process. Diaz himself has some past experience at third base from his days in Cuba, as well as one game in the Arizona Fall League.
