The Brewers will have a number of outfield options to consider down the stretch, putting an added squeeze on the left-handed Eric Thames (1B/OF, MIL) when it comes to playing time. Thames missed May and part of June with a torn ligament in his thumb, which may still be contributing to his diminished power—as he had 7 HR in 64 AB prior to the injury, with just 9 HR in 170 AB since his return. He also missed some time with a sore knee in August, a month in which he had just 4 hits (2 HR) in 41 at-bats.
