PT TOMORROW: NL Central—Outfield options aplenty in MIL

The Brewers will have a number of outfield options to consider down the stretch, putting an added squeeze on the left-handed Eric Thames (1B/OF, MIL) when it comes to playing time. Thames missed May and part of June with a torn ligament in his thumb, which may still be contributing to his diminished power—as he had 7 HR in 64 AB prior to the injury, with just 9 HR in 170 AB since his return. He also missed some time with a sore knee in August, a month in which he had just 4 hits (2 HR) in 41 at-bats.
The team recently added reinforcements in the form of Curtis Granderson (OF, MIL), who had 11 HR before coming over from the Blue Jays, swatting another with MIL earlier this week. Granderson, 37, has seen a modest drop in...
