Kyle Schwarber (C, CHC) was called up with the intent of serving as the DH for a five-game road trip to American League parks before heading back to Triple-A. But starting catcher Miguel Montero (C, CHC) had to be scratched from the lineup June 17 due to a stiff back, and while he was back the next night, it's worth wondering what might happen if it flares up again, or if they go back to carrying three catchers.

Following the trade of Wellington Castillo, the roster has consisted of just two catchers, with David Ross (C, CHC) serving as the backup to Montero. But he's not really suited for an expanded role, having not topped 176 at-bats since 2007, and currently sporting a .167/.297/.278 line through 54 at-bats. This comes...
