Patrick Wisdom (3B, CHC) has stolen headlines and FAAB dollars across the past few weeks, as he’s managed to slug eight home runs in only 49 at-bats. That’s been enough to earn him consistent playing time, tallying 13 starts in the team’s last 15 games. If he continues to produce (61 ct%, 261 xPX, 152 BPV), the team will undoubtedly find a way to get him into the lineup. However, he can quickly be buried on the bench if his lack of plate skills overshadows his power potential.

While Wisdom needed injuries to Matt Duffy (3B, CHC), and David Bote (2B/3B, CHC) in quick succession to receive playing time initially, his long-term role is likely to be determined by the health and performance of the team’s outfield as well...
