With Jedd Gyorko (INF, STL) and Yairo Muñoz (INF, STL) absent for much of the last week, Rangel Ravelo (1B, STL) received his first major league at-bats. He was already optioned back to Triple-A Memphis, and as a first baseman and outfielder, he faces an uphill battle to make any impact this season due to the makeup of the Cardinals’ depth chart.
