As Rod Truesdell noted in our trade deadline Playing Time Today space, Ty France (DH/1B, SEA) has emerged as a 2020 PT winner with his move to SEA. But the 26-year-old France's impact longer term could also be consequential. Offensively France has always had a good eye coming up through the minors, but he really began to hit with more authority in 2019 at AAA-El Paso, blasting 29 HR in just 296 AB (1.247 OPS) while also getting his feet wet vs. MLB pitching.  And as a 2020 part-timer with the Padres, France posted .868 OPS thru 55 AB, punctuated by an improving bb%, 123 HctX and 33% LD%—that last metric cutting into his FB% and holding him to 2 HR despite a 113/119 PX/xPX.
