PT TOMORROW: AL West—Rotation depth wanted

The Rangers thought they had survived their early-season rotation issues, but things have begun to unravel again. Despite the good news of a negative MRI, Martín Pérez's (LHP, TEX) three consecutive PQS-DIS outings—19 earned runs over 13.2 IP—and elbow inflammation will force a missed start and perhaps a DL stint. Suddenly after coughing up 17 runs in his last three starts, ex-reliever Robbie Ross (LHP, TEX) also looks like a day-to-day SP proposition.

As projected here last week, Nick Tepesch (RHP, TEX) will join the rotation for at least a start, but he has a good chance of sticking around longer. His 4.81 ERA during his 2013 MLB debut doesn't impress on the surface. But Tepesch pitched credibly before elbow issues...
