The OF depth has become a big plus, which at least offers a clue as to how the club will try to recover from unimaginable pitching issues and rebuild a shell-shocked rotation. Even with the near-universal demand for pitching help these days, the situation in Anaheim is at least worth a look in terms of playing time. Obviously with Mike Trout essentially locked up through the remainder of his career, the available MLB lineup spots are down to two and the bench, which is where it gets interesting.

Prospect Jordan Adell's (OF, LAA) promotion to AAA-Salt Lake City now for the final month of the season hints at a door cracked open for a September MLB debut. Adell has shown no ill effects after a spring training leg injury...
