Despite the wiggle-room provided by MLB's best record, the AL's leading offense, and an 11-game lead in the AL West entering May 30, the Astros will  be improvising in June. Mike Fiers' (RHP, HOU) continued struggles (5.21 ERA through nine starts) banished him to the bullpen last week—for all of a day, following a strained lat that has forced Charlie Morton to the DL for as-of-yet-undetermined amount to time. Fiers made a Tuesday start vs. MIN, but there's nothing in his 2017 performance that suggests he'll turn things around soon or that HOU wants to give him more opportunity out of anything other than necessity.
