Now entering June, a team slash line of .205/.282/.363 is among MLB's worst. Only surprisingly good pitching to date and the occasional HR have the Mariners hovering around the .500 mark, despite a BA and OBP that are last among all MLB clubs. Covered here last week, Cal Raleigh (C, SEA) now has a Triple-A hitting streak of 14 games and a 1.119 OPS through 101 PA—and right now our favorite June flyer call for the Mariners, particularly given the problematic SEA catching situation. But the club also finally has Shed Long (2B, SEA) playing again and on a rehab assignment at AAA-Tacoma.

Long had been handed the 2020 Opening Day 2B job on the heels of a 152 AB debut the year before. In 2019, he posted a .263/.333/.454 line...
