PT TOMORROW: AL WEST—DH help, depth still sought in SEA

That the club is middle-of-the-pack in MLB scoring at the Memorial Day turn seems fortunate, given its ongoing DH struggles and 24th-ranked .695 OPS entering Wednesday. Efforts to jump-start an inconsistent offense have been visible and chronicled in this space, notably Kolton Wong's loss of playing time to José Caballero, as well as the latest attempt at tapping into more of Taylor Trammell's patience-and-power combo—currently stalled by a 36.5% K% and .140 BA through 52 PA. But the Mariners are getting little help from their bench, and their current spot on the outside looking into playoff contention suggests that more changes are coming.
