The first shoe dropped last week when catcher Carlos Pérez was recalled and immediately began taking AB away from sub-.100-hitting Chris Iannetta. But another black hole can be found in the performance to date of newly-acquired Matt Joyce (OF/DH, LAA), who shares LF and DH with platoon-mates Collin Cowgill (OF, LAA) and C.J. Cron (DH/1B, LAA), neither of whom were batting over .200 entering the week.
