Cameron Maybin (OF, LAA) celebrations such as that in our photo have been few and far between over these first three-plus weeks. Entering 2017 as the starting LAA left fielder, Maybin has scuffled from the get-go, posting a .204 BA in his first 54 AB. Maybin's current 74% ct% isn't quite up to his recent 80% standard in the early going, though an 11% bb% says his decent patience remains intact. The current problem can be traced to a few less LDs, a 68 HctX and a 26% h%—the latter two of well off Maybin's most recent seasons, though certainly within turnaround distance in April. With little power to speak of, the speedy Maybin will need both better contact and luck as well as his defense and running game to...
